My wife and I found out about a house for sale by a contractor friend of ours in our small town. He was working on it during the winter months to stay busy. We've already viewed the house, he's showed us ever
Neither of you need a realtor. I bought my current home without a realtor from a woman without a realtor. You should download or print up sale/ contract papers for the sale of the property and then hire a title company to handle the transfer of title

You need a professional to insure that all the proper forms and researches are done properly. It would really blow to find out years later that there is a problem with the deed that could have been simply taken care of at closing.

Call a real estate attorney. There are disclosures you must give a buyer, even if you sell without a realtor. I would highly advise you to list with a Realtor since they are professionals and they know what they are doing!

I've dealt with about 4 Realtors already in about 2 years trying to find my first home (in California) which has been so far a bad experience and unsuccessful. In my experiences thus far I'm come to the conculsion that all Realtors are just greedy used
After taking Real Estate classes I've learned it is far better to use a realtor because they do all the paperwork for you and that can be a major headache. But if you want to do it yourself you will have to hire an attorney who specializes in Real Estate
