Is there any way to get credit card companies to stop mailing me credit offers?
Mar 27, 2007 by KIZIAH | Posted in Alternative Fuel Vehicles
I am continuously getting these credit card offers in the mail. I am concerned both about the security risks of these as well as the trees they waste this way. What can you do to get them to stop sending them?
There is an opt out number on the forms they send you...take the time to call. My junk mail pile has shrunk drastically by doing this.

Will I get credit card offers when I make my first car payment?
Apr 09, 2008 by Slim | Posted in Credit
I'm 24 and just bought a new car. I don't really have credit and was being turned down by credit card companies for lack of credit. So my question is once I begin establishing credit, will I get any credit card offers?
I don't want or need
Possibly, however what is your real issue? You have now officially began a credit history with the purchase of your car. I remember starting out like that. Time a financial change come about, now there goes your credit history that you were working

When you receive credit card offers in the mail, it doesn't necessarily mean that you will qualify or get approval on them (even if it says "Pre-Approval guaranteed"). It means that your name is part of a pre-screening process. Even with those

How many of you give in to the credit card offers?
Sep 21, 2009 by Erin | Posted in Personal Finance
I already have 4 credit cards which is probably too many already. The set up fees just to get a credit card are so much no wonder why I get so many offers!
The lowest minimum credit limit is a TOTAL card that only has a limit of $250.
Don't let them entice you. The higher your balance gets, the longer it will take to pay off.

I used to have like 12 credit cards. It wasn't a problem - I had a good job. But then I became disabled by a rare genetic condition.

Which credit cards should you take on holiday?

Check with your bank whether your card levies "foreign exchange loading
fees", which are usually a percentage of any transaction or cash
withdrawal, for a start. Most do, and some are higher than others. Halifax,
for example, charges a 2.75pc foreign loading fee on transactions, while
Lloyds and Barclays charge 2.99pc. Nationwide's charge is 2pc, while Norwich &
Peterborough's (N&P) Gold Light account charges nothing at all.
In addition, some companies charge a purchase transaction fee, which applies
every time you spend. Halifax charges £1.50 every time you use the card,
while Natwest and Santander charge £1.25. However, HSBC, Nationwide and N&P
do not levy this charge.
