I purchased a newly constructed home & the only forms I have are Addendum to HUD-1 Settlement Statement that has my name and address but no purchase price. I also have a certification of occupany but none of the forms have the purchase price. What
The forms you suggested plus the sales or other contract that shows the price is required. The IRS must be able to verify the name and address, date of purchase and price before they grant the credit. These forms must be in final form not estimates.

What are the most common items that are closing costs and disclosed on the final HUD-1 settlement statement?
1. These include earnest money, appraisals, loan application fee, and processing and origination fees.

Inspection fees paid up front to a home inspector that has nothing to do with your loan comapny would not be factored into a HUD 1 Settlement Statement.
The best answer would be #1, as earnest money is also entered on the settlement statement

Is the HUD-1 statement the same as the "Settlement Statement" I received? Everywhere I read it says that form HUD-1 has to be sent in along with your tax return but the form I received when I purchased my home in October says "Settlement
On the one I just pulled out it says HUD down near the bottom where the blank for the Settlement agent signs. HUD made them up. I don't think that form is required to be used in all transactions (like maybe cash) but is normally used in all.

Points for the mortgage. They should be on the 1098 your received from the lender, though, so don't add them if they were.
Property taxes credited to the seller are considered as paid by you and should be added to any other property taxes
