Medical marijuana takes a big hit due to new Montana law

Last year's action by the Montana Legislature is being both blamed and credited for the decline.

One of the people directly affected by the legislative efforts is Grant Grenfell of Black Eagle, who was serving more than 20 medical marijuana patients as a provider until last year, when he says Senate Bill 423 forced him to stop.

Grenfell explained, "Because of a fine that I have on my record, it's keeping me from being a provider. I don't know a lot of people that have just a perfect record. Even good people make mistakes."
