    Upright Citizens Brigade NYC for free tickets to Asssscat - how early should I get on line?

    How early should I get to the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in NYC to get free tickets for Asssscat on Sunday nights?

    Pretty early, I've gone to the show several times and am a regular attendee of UCBtheater. I suggest calling them on their reservation line and seeing what the availability is for the night then go get in line 2- 2 1/2 hours before the show.

    Has anyone taken improv acting classes at the Upright Citizens Brigade in Los Angeles?

    I want to try acting and being on stage but don't necessarily want to be a clown. I'm pretty funny though sometimes. Either way, what are these UCB Improv classes like? Thanks.

    I've heard of the New York school, and it has produced some amazing comedians/improv artists. Including: Horatio Sanz of SNL and Charlie Todd of Improv Everywhere. Check out the links for more info.

    Upright Citizens Brigade Provides Workshop, Laughs

    The group entertained a sizeable audience on Sunday with its 70-minute set and received a warm welcome from the Fools themselves, who provided the opening act.

    The Fools' opener consisted of two quick sketch games.

    The first, "Main Event," required the audience to provide a one-word theme — in this case "skiing" — and the Fools set up a scene revolving around this word, jumping around in time before and after the ubiquitous main event.

    The Fools followed this game with the classic "Freeze," in which two performers interact while the other members stop the scene at will and tap out one of the comedians to change the situation.
