    When is a wife eligible for a husbands medical VA benefits?

    My husband retired on 7/1/2010 at 62. He is a vet, applied for va medical benefits last year, and just got them now. I am 59, not a vet, married, not working, and no medical benefits now. Am I eligible to get medical va benefits under him? If so, how

    VA medical benefits don't work like health insurance - you cannot be added to his "policy" because there is no policy.

    It is ONLY for the veterans. Not for spouses, not for children. Sorry.

    I'm supposed to go in to the Oregon VA hospital to have some blood work taken in about five days. Should I be concerned about losing my benefits because I smoke weed to ease my pain and sleep at night?

    Well, I personally think that their is nothing wrong with smoking weed for purposes like that. They might take away your benifits, even if marijuana is legal for medical reasons in some states- like California. I hope they don't though. Good luck.
