Top Five: Largest Valley venture deals in Q4, 2011

    23.02.12

This week in print, the Business Journal ranked Silicon Valley's top 25 venture deals for all of 2011 and for the fourth quarter of 2011.

The deals were listed by the company receiving the funds, and were ranked by the value of the deal when it was announced.

Information was obtained from the PricewaterhouseCoopers/National Venture Capital Association Thompson Reuters Moneytree Report.

An interesting spread of companies appeared on the lists this year. There were the normal software startups, but also a number of cleantech companies, biotech firms and semiconductor manufacturers.
