veterans medical benefits FAQ
Why has Bush passed a bill to keep certain veterans from receiving medical benefits as a veteran?
Jun 08, 2007 by ignacio m | Posted in Military
You cannot receive medical benefits if you have had a high income in the past. Even if you have fallin on hard times; and are no longer in that income bracket.
Veterans' education and healthcare should be covered 100% with no exception. That's the least we can do as a country. It disgusts me that politicians think anything less than that is even an option.
Edit: Oh, and that healthcare should

Dec 06, 2010 by Barb | Posted in Military

If the kids are not in college does that affect their medical benefits?

Veterans' medical benefits ... any qualifications other than honorable discharge from the military?
Nov 13, 2009 by mcmaher | Posted in Military
Does the vet have to be poor? Is it free medical care or is it low-cost medical care?
Thanks in advance.
I'm asking because of a separate issue, somebody saying "all US veterans have healthcare already."
To have an honorable discharge is it, but it's not always "free".
When you register, they will have you fill out a form with the financial information, pretty complete I might add, and then they will determine if you qualify for free,

How much does Veterans Benefits cover my PPO co-pay?

Are medical veterans benefits any good if you weren't in combat. Whats specific about them that make them good?
It depends on if you have been found to have a disability due to service and what percentage of disability you have. Check out www.va.gov or call your local VA Medical Center for more information.

Vets feel abandoned after secret drug experiments
18.05.12
(CNN) -- The moment 18-year-old Army Pvt. Tim Josephs arrived at Edgewood Arsenal in 1968, he knew there was something different about the place.
"It just did not look like a military base, more like a hospital," recalled Josephs, a Pittsburgh native. Josephs had volunteered for a two-month assignment at Edgewood, in Maryland, lured by three-day weekends closer to home.
"It was like a plum assignment," Josephs said. "The idea was they would test new Army field jackets, clothing, weapons and things of that nature, but no mention of drugs or chemicals."
