Why can't Chris Dodd locate his Countrywide mortgage papers which he promised to submit months ago?
Jan 30, 2009 by Heidi 4 | Posted in Other - Politics & Government
I can pull up all the info and papers needed for my Countrywide mortgage on the internet. Why does he need to physically search thru his numerous homes to locate these papers?
Is it just another politician who blatently lies to us and
Chris Dodd cannot find the paperwork because the statute of limitations has not run out yet. After he is no longer subject to prosecution, the papers will be found.
Billary did the same thing, it was part of the Whitewater scandal.

Hi. If I go delinquent on my Countrywide mortgage?
Jul 05, 2009 by Korean guy | Posted in Renting & Real Estate
Hi. If I go delinquent on my Countrywide mortgage payments for two months (now Bank of America) to be able to qualify for the govt assistance program, do I need to pay the 2 months of outstanding payments later on in the future? I am planning on calling
Your tactic will NOT work and yes the payments would still have to be paid in some form. Just getting 2 months behind does NOT qualify you for the mods and you will just find yourself having ruined your credit for NOTHING.

All delinquent payments would be rolled into any modification program you enter into but going delinquent does not guarantee you will get a favorable repayment plan. Why are you considering this tactic?

Why do businesses like home mortgage(CountryWide) lead money to people who can not pay it back?

From the news media, there are a lot of home foreclosures from mortgage companies such as Countrywide. The employees who write these loans have business degrees and experience in home mortgages yet they go ahead and create and approve loans that can't
Because they make their money from selling these bad loans in the marketplace to idiotic hedge fund investors who have no idea what they are even investing in.
The bank takes the bad loans, packages them together with other bad loans, and

Is Mortgage-Debt Forgiveness Worth the 'Moral Hazard'?
21.05.12
What Im really worried about is what happens if you put an incentive shift out there that says, If you can demonstrate hardship, you can have your debt forgiven, said Edward DeMarco, the acting director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency, in an interview with The Wall Street Journal.
Right now, about three-quarters of homeowners who are deeply underwater on mortgages backed by Fannie and Freddie are still making payments. (Underwater borrowers owe more than their homes are worth.)
Theres been little research on the subject, in part because the speed and depth of the housing price-crash of the past five years has little national precedent.
